H18 Tower

The Scheme is located in the heart of Marota city, surrounded by medium to high rise buildings. Responding directly to the site and culture of Damascus, the scheme creates a design that keeps the envelope shape as a parallel rectangle, which reflects the traditional character of the housing style, and dealing with the building as parts of the whole unit, while providing green spaces at ground level. The scheme is made up of two limestone clad and gradient blocks on the east where the tower has been pushed back to create a landscaped forecourt.
